Get Your Energy Back

October 19, 2010

Check out this slick projection mapping masterpiece for the Toyota Auris Hybrid – a car that ‘gets its energy back’ through some technical wizardry. Anyway – the team at Glue London put this together and the result is quite brilliant. I’ve still yet to see projection mapping in real life but if it’s even half as impressive as it appears on screen, then expect to see a lot more:

Internet Week

October 15, 2010

This November will see the first Internet Week Europe. A five day event in London that looks to celebrate the best digital offerings in the industry. There’s a tonne of cool stuff going on from breakfast at Mother to a host of digital drop-in’s from industry experts. I’m personally looking forward to Metaphwoar on Tuesday night. You can find out more about it here:

Smell Like A Monster & Banksy Does The Simpsons

October 14, 2010

Sorry for the lack of posts – more to come soon i promise. In the mean time a couple of things to brighten your Thursday:

Youtique

October 5, 2010

Another great idea from the guys at PokeYoutique. An online shopping channel for French Connection that works by utilizing Youtubes ability to embed links within video. You see an item of clothing you like – click on it at the end of the clip, and you’re taken straight through to the product within the French Connection site. A simple, helpful style guide with a decent call to action and no faffing about. Well done team Poke:

New Job

September 23, 2010

Apologies for the lack of posts. I’ve just started a new job at MRM london so have been pretty busy.

Not really worthy of a blog post but have a look at my portfolio. I had a nice email reminder that I’ve just payed for hosting again (has it been that long already) so I may as well get some use out of it 😉

The Wilderness Downtown – Interactive Music Video

September 1, 2010

You may remember a few years back, Arcade Fire’s interactive music video for Neon Bible. The one where a singing head and two hands move around and do different stuff when you click on them. Anyway, they’re back at it, this time using html 5 and Google Street View to wow you with their talent.

There’s something quite cool about the mucky resolution google pics sitting with polished sections of video & 3D, and it’s another step in the right direction for the progression of html5.

See what you think:

Marcel The Shell With Shoes On

August 26, 2010

Sorry it’s been a while since I’ve posted. Again, there’s been so much cool stuff going round and I’ve not got round to posting any of it. Anyway, I saw this yesterday and thought it was great. It’s directed by Directed by Dean Fleischer-Camp, and had mixed reactions in the studio but I’m totally in to it. See what you think:

Alex Bogusky Tells All

August 11, 2010

A very interesting article by Danielle Sacks regarding Alex Boguskys departure from Crispin & the advertising industry:
http://www.fastcompany.com/alex-bogusky-tells-all

It starts off quite complimentary and then starts to lay in to him towards the end. Even more interesting though is Boguskys step by step analysis of the article on his blog. A typically smart and timely move from him which is no doubt what made CPB so great in the first place:

Well worth a read if you have time.

The Most Refreshing Pint

Another simple but great idea from the guys at Lean Mean Fighting Machine:

Pulse News Mini

August 3, 2010

I’ve just downloaded this great blog feed app on my iPhone called Pulse. It’s essentially a nicely designed rss & blog reader that you can customise to view feeds on your iPhone/iPad quickly and easily. Very simple but just what I’ve been after. Great stuff.
