Moving Up In The World

I’ve just been looking at the data that’s been released on www.police.uk . It show’s crime statistics for your local area. Pretty handy if you’re looking to move. I however, made the mistake of moving before i checked it. Hmmmmm. The numbers in circles represent the number of crimes reported in that area in december 2010.

An Idiots Guide to Data Visualization

I may qualify as an idiot in this field but I found this article about data visualization absolutely fascinating. I saw Jer Thorp at flash on the beach last year and his work is amazing (and the results are beautiful). Well worth a read if you’ve got a spare 10 mins – a good intro to the subject.
