One Down, A Few To Go

April 5, 2011

It’s April already and I’ve made a bit of a slow start with my resolutions (I’ve been swimming a handful of times – that’s about it). However, I’ve just signed up to help fund a Kickstarter project, so that’s one off the list.

About the project – It’s a ten minute short film shot on HD on location in London. Entitled ‘Lunch Date’ it follows this plot:

2011 was supposed to be Annabel’s year. So why is she here, sitting in a restaurant, being told by a thirteen-year-old that her boyfriend, Thomas, doesn’t want to see her anymore.

The small messenger is Wilbur. He has agreed to break the news as payment for borrowing Thomas’s tent. But dispensing with Annabel proves a bigger challenge than Wilbur had anticipated.

If you want to help fund it (or just find out more) – you can do so here.

2011

January 10, 2011

Happy new year all. It’s been a while since I’ve posted so I thought I’d (belatedly) kick of the new year with a post of my resolutions for 2011. So – here goes:

1. Run a half marathon

2. Swim to the Isle of Wight – from the UK mainland

3. Grow a beard

4. Help fund something on kickstarter

5. Get a personal project up and running (slightly ambiguous i know – but i don’t want to give too much away yet)

Restore some old chairs that I found at a junk sale (I hope when I’m finished they’ll look something like this):

So there you have them – my new years resolutions. Perhaps a little ambitious to complete all of them – but even if I get half way, I’ll be pleased. Oh – plus I’m getting married in the summer. I don’t think I can count this as a resolution (without getting my ass kicked by my mrs to be) but it will certainly occupy a fair amount of my time.
