One Down, A Few To Go

April 5, 2011

It’s April already and I’ve made a bit of a slow start with my resolutions (I’ve been swimming a handful of times – that’s about it). However, I’ve just signed up to help fund a Kickstarter project, so that’s one off the list.

About the project – It’s a ten minute short film shot on HD on location in London. Entitled ‘Lunch Date’ it follows this plot:

2011 was supposed to be Annabel’s year. So why is she here, sitting in a restaurant, being told by a thirteen-year-old that her boyfriend, Thomas, doesn’t want to see her anymore.

The small messenger is Wilbur. He has agreed to break the news as payment for borrowing Thomas’s tent. But dispensing with Annabel proves a bigger challenge than Wilbur had anticipated.

If you want to help fund it (or just find out more) – you can do so here.

Moving Up In The World

February 4, 2011

I’ve just been looking at the data that’s been released on www.police.uk . It show’s crime statistics for your local area. Pretty handy if you’re looking to move. I however, made the mistake of moving before i checked it. Hmmmmm. The numbers in circles represent the number of crimes reported in that area in december 2010.

This is where I grew up:

and this is where I’ve just moved to:

Get Your Energy Back

October 19, 2010

Check out this slick projection mapping masterpiece for the Toyota Auris Hybrid – a car that ‘gets its energy back’ through some technical wizardry. Anyway – the team at Glue London put this together and the result is quite brilliant. I’ve still yet to see projection mapping in real life but if it’s even half as impressive as it appears on screen, then expect to see a lot more:

Internet Week

October 15, 2010

This November will see the first Internet Week Europe. A five day event in London that looks to celebrate the best digital offerings in the industry. There’s a tonne of cool stuff going on from breakfast at Mother to a host of digital drop-in’s from industry experts. I’m personally looking forward to Metaphwoar on Tuesday night. You can find out more about it here:

Decode @ V&A

February 15, 2010

My valentines treat was a trip to the excellent decode exhibition at the V&A. If you’ve not been it’s definitely worth checking out (it’s on until april). For once I was able to walk around an exhibit and know more about it than the oldies who keep stopping in front of me.

These were some highlights:
